Asana’s Revenue Technology team is looking for a Salesforce Engineering Manager to join our Run Team and support ongoing salesforce platform stability and efficiency. You will build and manage a technical team focused on creating enterprise level solutions leveraging excellent technology to support our team members in Revenue (SDR, AE, Revenue Operations),  Channel, Support, Success. As part of this role, you will partner with our Revenue Technology Product Management, and our Partners to understand their overall strategy, map it into a systems roadmap and drive delivery.

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve

  • Leadership and Team Building: Lead the operational strategy for the Salesforce platform, focusing on system reliability and efficient incident resolution. Guide and mentor engineers responsible for platform stability, while managing on-call schedules and technical escalations. 
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify platform health priorities, plan for maintenance windows, and proactively address potential issues. Provide guidance on environment stability, release management related to bug fixes and patches, integration monitoring, and data integrity within Salesforce.
  • Operational Excellence:  Lead operational planning for Salesforce platform maintenance, setting team goals focused on uptime and performance. Consult on optimizing Salesforce configurations for operational efficiency and troubleshooting. Establish metrics to monitor system health, incident resolution times, and proactively detect and resolve errors.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a technical lead to coordinate between teams on Salesforce operational issues, ensuring alignment on stability and incident management. Collaborate with other Salesforce teams and Enterprise Technology teams to ensure platform reliability and data integrity.

About you

  • BS in Information Systems, Computer Science or other relevant degree.
  • 10+ years of experience maintaining and optimizing Salesforce platforms.
  • 5+ years of enterprise experience using Salesforce and cloud-based technologies to develop end-to-end solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams in a high pressure, fluid growth environment with ability to navigate and guide team members on the right approach to follow. 
  • Experience building and managing product roadmaps, planning sprints, and making trade-offs to ship products.
  • Expert in managing effective team allocation across Incidents, Service Request and Enhancements with focus on clear deliverables and measurable outcomes. 
  • Experience assessing, defining, and implementing end-to-end solutions across CRM, CPQ, PRM,Customer Community, Service & Support including UX & UI components into every solution.
  • Experience leading sustaining engineering or salesforce platform teams.
  • Be the expert on product, solution, and process with a “can do” attitude and desire to deliver high quality products.
  • The role requires flexibility to collaborate with teams across different time zones and lead alignment sessions.
  • Certified Salesforce Developer, Application and/or Systems Architect.

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $207,000 - $263,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
