Use cases
Built for the work that defines manufacturing
Run every NPI program, gate to gate
Keep humans and agents on one live plan, from kickoff to production. The NPI Assistant generates gate tasks after every review—carrying history, learnings, and dependencies forward so every gate starts smarter.
Build improvement that compounds each cycle
Preserve institutional knowledge through transitions. The Kaizen Coordinator guides teams through PDCA, RCCA, and Kaizen—routing updated standard work for approval so outcomes compound into lasting knowledge.
Stay ahead of faults before they reach the line
Shift maintenance from emergency response to automated intervention. The Maintenance Assistant drafts service records from technician notes—detecting recurring fault patterns so equipment history compounds across every cycle.
Go from detection to resolution faster
Resolve quality problems without manual handoffs. The Quality Coordinator triages issues, routes RMAs, and keeps problems moving from detection to resolution—so every outcome is retained and applied to the next event.

Enterprise-grade governance is built into every agentic action in Asana. Admin-level controls govern how AI Teammates are deployed, who can action them, and what they can do, with full visibility into usage, activity, and outputs across the organisation. For manufacturing, this means quality standards, gate criteria, and approval workflows are enforced at each step, so every AI Teammate action is permissioned, monitored, and auditable, and all outputs meet the compliance standards your production environment requires.
Yes, manufacturing teams can use Asana to assign task owners and track improvement initiatives through review and approval. Asana's Kaizen Coordinator assists with root cause analysis, drafts 8D reports, and routes updated procedures for approval. These workflows can support lean project management, which focuses on reducing waste and improving processes.
