Here’s how MUSE creates a Help Center article:

Step one: A teammate assigns the task

To kick off work, an Asana content writer creates and assigns MUSE an Asana task with clear direction and the context it needs to get started, such as:

  • A clear article topic

  • Specific sections to include in the article

  • Direction for formatting the piece

  • Links to related documentation, such as release notes, internal product guides, or reference articles

This upfront detail ensures MUSE has the full context before it begins drafting.

Step two: MUSE creates a plan

Once the task is assigned, MUSE reviews the task description and automatically drafts subtasks that map the work from start to finish. The goal is to turn the broad request into a clear, step-by-step workflow that takes the task from raw documentation to a finished Help Center article, just like a human teammate might set up. 

These subtasks might include:

  • Review competitor resources for gaps and opportunities

Step three: MUSE gathers context

With the workflow mapped out, MUSE moves on to research, gathering the details needed to draft a complete article. That includes:

  • Reviewing internal documentation

Step four: MUSE shares a go-forward plan

Using the context gathered, MUSE comments its plan in the parent task and tags the original requestor. The proposed plan typically includes:

  • The article outline and key sections 

  • A project timeline 

  • An invitation for feedback before drafting begins

Step five: MUSE creates the first draft

Once the requestor signs off on the plan, MUSE begins the initial draft, incorporating Asana’s style guidelines and best practices, including:

  • Adapting technical content into customer-friendly explanations

  • Translating features into benefit-focused language

  • Formatting with consistent headers, sections, and navigation

  • Adding SEO optimization such as keywords and meta descriptions

The result is a draft that’s polished enough for review.

Step six: Team members review the draft and iterate

When the draft is ready, MUSE links it in the parent task and tags reviewers for feedback. The reviewers leave comments directly in the document or in Asana and MUSE processes the feedback, updates the article, and cycles through revisions until all reviewers sign off.

Step seven: Content is finalized and routed for approval 

After revisions, MUSE finalizes the article by closing out its subtasks, producing the final document, and linking it in the parent task. From there, the content team can edit and refine the content further if needed.

SCOUT then posts a comment in the parent task, outlining how it will identify all first-level subfolders and tagging the manager for visibility into the approach.

Step three: SCOUT moves through the workflow

With the plan in place, DASH begins the retrospective much like a human teammate would: gathering context from the linked project and pulling insights based on the provided instructions. This might include:

  • Reviewing project tasks, comments, and team interactions to identify blockers or delays

  • Identifying challenges and successful practices across the project lifecycle

  • Flagging conflicts or recurring issues that surfaced during the sprint

  • Pulling specific examples that illustrate key successes and areas of improvement

Step four: DASH compiles and shares the retrospective

Step five: Team members build on the output

Based on DASH’s summary, the team can use the retrospective in their meetings or follow up for further refinements. For example, if they want more specific guidance, they can ask DASH to break its recommendations into concrete steps the team can implement to improve workflows. “It’s like a coworker—the more information and instructions you give it, the better the outputs will be,” said Bill.
